Whataburger brings back fan favorite not seen in three years. When can you get it?
A Whataburger “throwback” is back by popular demand.
After a three-year break, fans can get their first bites of the mushroom Swiss burger as of April 1 at Whataburger locations nationwide, according to the Texas-based burger chain.
It’s made with two beef patties topped with Swiss cheese, au jus sauce and “a generous layer” of grilled mushrooms, all served on a toasted bun, a product description says.
Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
“This year marks our 75th anniversary, and we wanted to give our customers something they’ve been asking for,” Debbie Stroud, president and CEO of Whataburger, said in the release.
“It’s not just about nostalgia — it’s about our commitment to making every Whataburger visit one worth craving,” Stroud said.
Fans have until June 2 before the beloved mushroom Swiss burger leaves menus again.
Customers can order it in-store, at the drive-thru or on the Whataburger mobile app.
