Two lottery players win $105,000 jackpot in Georgia. Where were tickets sold?
Two lottery players tried their luck — and both snagged big prizes in Georgia.
The lucky players hit the Fantasy 5 jackpot, each winning $105,299 after matching all five numbers in the drawing Friday, Aug. 1, according to the Georgia Lottery.
One ticket was sold at a Chevron station in Rincon and the other was purchased on the lottery’s mobile app by a Guyton resident, a lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News.
Officials didn’t say if either winner had come forward as of Monday, Aug. 4.
The winning numbers Friday were 4-17-19-33-34, results show. Both players beat odds of 1 in 850,668 to take the top prize, the lottery’s website says.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days to claim prizes on draw games and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, officials said.
Rincon is about a 20-mile drive northwest from downtown Savannah.
