Chipotle brings back fan-favorite menu item for a limited time. What to know

Chipotle listened, and it is bringing back a fan-favorite menu item.

But it won’t be around for long.

Carne asada hits the menu Sept. 4 at restaurants nationwide for a limited time, Chipotle Mexican Grill said in a news release.

The return comes after the fast-casual restaurant chain learned the meat was “Chipotle’s most-searched menu item” on Google.

The steak is marinated and seasoned with cumin, coriander, garlic and oregano, then grilled and topped with fresh lime juice and cilantro.

Chipotle says carne asada has 29 grams of protein.

The fast-casual restaurant said it’s also offering a buy one, get one free entree for customers who show up in a college football jersey Sept. 15 after 5 p.m.
