This home for sale in England has an unusual toilet — in public. Take a look
A house on the market in Manchester, England, is turning some heads thanks to the unusual placement of one of the home’s bathrooms.
The three-bedroom residence — which is listed for about $152,000 — has a downstairs bathroom that appears to be, well, on the porch area surrounded by windows. The listing describes its location lightly, referring to it as “external,” which would typically mean an outhouse.
“Welcome to the market this period end of terraced, which would be described as a tardis. The property has a double extension to the rear making this a more substantial home which would suit a variety of buyers,” the listing on RightMove.co.uk says.
“Comprising of: entrance hall, a lounge, open plan dining room with an exposed brick feature fireplace, a good size kitchen, and a downstairs external W.C. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, an office/study or playroom and a family bathroom. Externally there is off road parking to the front and a large yard to the rear.”
The house is only available for cash and clearly needs some love and a little handy work — if you can look past the bathroom where people passing by can peer in.
Good news is, the position of the water closet appears to be in the backyard area so there is some privacy, unless the new owners decide to host a garden party.
