Trump will be in Johnston County next week. Here’s how to get tickets for the rally
Former President Donald Trump is returning to North Carolina next week for a rally in support of U.S. Rep. Ted Budd and other candidates he has endorsed in this year’s elections.
Trump will speak at The Farm at 95, a wedding and event venue in the town of Selma in Johnston County, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.
The town of approximately 6,300 people is located about 30 miles southeast of Raleigh, and has hosted Trump before.
Trump held a rally at The Farm just days before the 2016 election, when he was running for president. He was joined onstage by a couple dozen retired military officers who had endorsed his campaign. More than 15,000 people attended the rally.
On April 9, Trump will speak in support of Budd, a three-term congressman who is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Richard Burr. Budd was endorsed by Trump last year, at the North Carolina GOP’s convention in Greenville.
Other major candidates running for the Republican nomination include former N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory, former U.S. Rep. Mark Walker and military veteran Marjorie K. Eastman.
Trump is also expected to speak in support of other candidates he has endorsed, which include U.S. Reps. Madison Cawthorn and Virginia Foxx and locally, Bo Hines, a political newcomer running for Congress from the newly redrawn 13th district that includes Johnston and parts of Wake, Harnett and Wayne counties.
Here’s everything we know about the rally, including information on how to get tickets and the schedule.
