In southern Wake County, voters will determine whether Democratic incumbent state Rep. Sydney Batch will keep her seat representing House District 37. Her opponents, Republican Erin Paré, a small business owner, and Libertarian Liam Leaver are vying to the flip the previously Republican-held district. Batch flipped the district to the Democrats in 2018’s “Blue Wave.”
