Here are the candidates running in Wake County’s 2022 elections
Check out The News & Observer’s Wake County voter guide to learn more about the 2022 election candidates.
Wake County voters will elect county commissioners, a sheriff, a district attorney and other local, state and federal candidates this year.
In Cary, voters also will elect members of the Town Council.
The two-week filing period originally opened in December but was quickly paused when the state Supreme Court announced the primary would be moved from March to May 17 in order to review new congressional districts.
Filing reopened at 8 a.m. Feb. 24 and will continue through noon March 4.
The filing period for the Wake County Board of Education and the Raleigh City Council doesn’t begin until July 1, 2022.
