What is Selma doing right, and wrong, on managing growth?
Selma is doing a great job of looking into how and where we need to invest in our growth. We could do better at engaging our citizens and encouraging their voices to be heard.
If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during your first year in office?
I believe it is important to know your town. Selma has a lot of great ideas but is lacking in execution and organization. My goal for the first year would be to listen to the public and get an organized plan of attack for what we want or need to address.
What unique skills or life experience would you bring to city governance?
I am a mother of three, and I have managed over 100 employees. For the past four years I have been working contracts and negotiations. This involves scheduling, regulations and decision making. I believe these are all great skills that will help me when learning the role as town councilor.
