Read our Voter Guide to find out how NC candidates responded to our questions
What are the top priorities of gubernatorial candidates if elected? How do congressional candidates rate the state of the economy? What do state legislative candidates think of private school vouchers?
We asked these questions and more of about 160 candidates running in statewide and congressional races, as well as many of the Triangle-area candidates on the ballot for legislative and city races. As of Oct. 30, 119 had responded.
Below you’ll find links to questionnaires providing information on the candidates and their responses to our questions. More candidates will be added as we publish more questionnaires. We contacted all candidates but some didn’t respond, so they won’t appear on this webpage. But all will still be listed at the top of each questionnaire.
To help inform voters, these candidate questionnaires are free to read without a subscription, and are available to be republished by local publications in North Carolina without any cost. Please consider subscribing to The News & Observer to help make this coverage possible.
If you’re not sure of who’s running for races in your area, you can find your ballot using the State Board of Elections voter search tool.
