Justice Hudson picks up high-profile endorsements

State Supreme Court Justice Robin Hudson has picked up additional high-profile endorsements for her re-election.

Former chief justices Burley Mitchell, Jim Exum and Henry Frye are on board. So is the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People and the Durham People’s Alliance.

Hudson is the only incumbent appellate judge facing a primary on May 6. She is opposed by Mecklenburg Superior Court Judge Eric Levinson and Jeanette Doran, who was executive director of a conservative constitutional law think tank.

Hudson has been endorsed by about a dozen former appellate judges.

An earlier version of this blog misspelled Doran’s name.
