Masked thieves tie up 70-year-old woman in daytime robbery at NC home, sheriff says
Masked robbers tied up a 70-year-old woman and stole money, guns and jewelry from her home in Robeson County, North Carolina, the sheriff’s office said.
The woman was at her front door just before noon when the robbers forced her into her home, tied her up and demanded money, according to the sheriff’s office.
The robbery was in the rural Fairmont community off Interstate 95 near the South Carolina border.
The woman was able to free herself and call police after the robbers left the house, the sheriff’s office said.
The two robbers had their faces covered, wore gloves and were dressed in all black, according to the sheriff’s office.
