Concord investigators say murder suspect Omarrion Hudson, 16, has been captured by U.S. Marshals in Connecticut.

The teen suspected of killing a 31-year-old Concord man Saturday has been arrested, according to Concord Police.

Concord investigators sent out a tweet Thursday, noting Omarrion Hudson, 16, has been captured by U.S. Marshals in Connecticut.

He was wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Derron Jordan near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Malvern Drive on Dec. 28, officials said in the tweet.

It happened about at 7:56 p.m. Saturday, about 10 miles east of Concord Mills, where another deadly shooting occurred later that day.

Jordan was a cousin of 13-year-old Aveanna Propst, who was shot and killed that night at nearby Concord Mills mall. Another teen, 18-year-old Dontae Laquavious Milton-Black was arrested and charged in her killing, officials said.

Two other teens were wounded at the mall but they have non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Concord investigators say the two incidents are unrelated.

Police identified Hudson as the suspect in Jordan’s shooting Sunday and obtained warrants for Hudson’s arrest on a charge of first-degree murder.

Note: This story was updated to correct the spelling of Aveanna Propst’s name.
