There’s an NC lottery ticket worth $1.3 million out there somewhere. Who has it?

A lottery player won a big prize in North Carolina — but hasn’t come forward yet.

Someone is holding onto a ticket worth $1.3 million, the N.C. Education Lottery said Monday.

The lucky ticket matched every number in Saturday’s drawing, beating odds of nearly 1-in-a-million, according to the lottery. It was the third-highest jackpot won in the history of the Carolina Cash 5 game, officials say.

The winning ticket was sold for $1 at Quick Mart in Jamestown, the lottery said in a news release. The convenience store is in Guilford County and roughly 6 miles northeast of downtown High Point.

Now, officials are encouraging customers who play the lottery to “check their tickets.”

Though no one had come forward as of Monday morning, there’s still time to do so, lottery spokesperson Van Denton wrote in an email to McClatchy News.

The winner has about six months to claim the prize, officials say.
