More than 3,000 winners to split $10.3 million NC lottery prize thanks to unique combo

More than 3,000 winners will split a $10.3 million North Carolina Lottery prize.

The Carolina Pick 4 drawing on Nov. 13 produced 3,326 winning tickets with the numbers 0-0-0-0, according to the NC Education Lottery Service.

Top prizes of $5,000 will be awarded to players who have one of the 1,481 winning $1 tickets, and $2,500 prizes will go to players who have one of the 1,147 winning 50 cent tickets, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers are called “quads” and are some of the most popular numbers played, according to the lottery service. The odds of matching all four numbers in a Pick 4 drawing are 1 in 10,000.

Carolina Pick 4 game drawings are held daily at 3 p.m. and 11:22 p.m.

The $10.3 million prize set a record for the number of prizes won in a Pick 4 drawing — topping the Aug. 24, 2020, drawing of $9.2 million on the numbers 9-9-9-9, according to the lottery service.
