Anna Kooiman is coming back to Charlotte for the “perfect job.”

Kooiman, who left WCCB Charlotte in 2010 for New York to host Fox News’ weekend show, will host a “female-focused” lifestyle show, “Your Day with Anna Kooiman,” on the Bahakel Communications station, she said Thursday.

She left Fox News in 2016 after meeting her Australian husband, Tim. They live in Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, and have two children, according to WCCB.

Anna Kooiman left Australia to return to Charlotte and host her own show, “Your Day with Anna Kooiman,” on WCCB and Bahakel Communications.

Kooiman, a graduate of Myers Park High School and UNC-Wilmington, began a fitness coaching business, Strong Sexy Mammas, while in Australia. Now she’ll look to continue empowering women with her new show.

“WCCB and Bahakel Communications have given me an incredible opportunity to re-ignite my television career, with a lifestyle focus this time,” Kooiman told WCCB. “It’s my passion, my creative outlet. I’m ready to get back to it with two babies in tow and be in my hometown again with my family.”

Kooiman’s show will air sometime this fall across the U.S. on Bahakel stations and their digital platforms.

“We are thrilled to have Anna Kooiman join the broadcast network for Bahakel Communications, and its streaming partner Bahakel Entertainment,” Beverly Bahakel, president and CEO of Bahakel Communications, told WCCB. “Anna brings a dynamic energy to the table, as a social phenomenon in daily lifestyle.”

Kooiman will use social media to learn what viewers want to see on a daily basis, she said in a video posted on her show’s Twitter page.

“We want you to be a part of the show,” Kooiman said. “It’s all about your day.”

In the minute-long video, Kooiman called her departure from Australia “bittersweet” because her husband’s family lives there and she had made some “incredible relationships.”

Kooiman said returning to Charlotte is “a dream come true” and she hopes people welcome her into their living rooms everyday.
