Diesel drivers can save 56 cents per gallon at Sheetz – and get a free meal
Sheetz is slashing prices on diesel all month as a “thank you” to truckers and other drivers who burn the pricey fuel.
Diesel drivers can fill up for $4.49 per gallon at more than 650 Sheetz stores from Sept. 5-30, the convenience store chain announced in a news release. That’s 56 cents cheaper than the current national average of $5.05 reported by AAA on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
The discount arrives just in time for Truck Driver Appreciation Week Sept. 11-17.
As an extra perk, truck drivers can receive a free meal and drink of their choice that includes a half made-to-order sub sandwich and a bag of Sheetz “fryz,” the release said. Drivers can redeem the offer by entering code “TRUCKYEAH” in the Sheetz mobile app starting on Sunday, Sept. 11.
No purchase is necessary.
“Truck drivers are the backbone of this country,” Travis Sheetz, president & CEO of Sheetz, said in a statement. “As a company, we are committed to showing appreciation for our customers.”
Earlier this year, the convenience store chain offered drivers discounted gas through the July 4th travel period, McClatchy News reported.
