R&B star Usher bringing ‘Past Present Future’ tour to Charlotte this year

For the first time in over a decade, Usher will be performing in Charlotte this year.

Ahead of his Super Bowl performance, the R&B star announced his 24-city tour, “USHER: Past Present Future,” in celebration of his 30-year career.

He’ll be hitting the stage in 24 cities across North America, including Charotte’s Spectrum Center on Oct. 22 and 23 — the only tour stop in the Carolinas. The two-concert stop will be his first time back in Charlotte since 2011, when he came for his OMG Tour (back when it was Time Warner Cable Arena).

“Following his incredibly successful two year My Way: The Las Vegas Residency run culminating in 100 sold out shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM, multi-platinum, eight-time GRAMMY award-winning global entertainment icon USHER is bringing his smooth R&B tracks, infectious smile and slick moves to fans all across the globe,” LiveNation announced.

How to get concert tickets

Tickets for Usher’s tour will be sold online at LiveNation.com, with Citi and Verizon presales beginning Wednesday, Feb. 7 ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Monday, Feb. 12.

• Citi presale: Citi cardmembers will have access to buy tickets from Feb 7. at 10 a.m. through Feb. 11 at 10 p.m. through the Citi Entertainment program.

• Verizon presale: Verizon customers will have access to buy tickets for select shows from Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. through Feb. 11 at 10 p.m. through Verizon Up.
