Some lucky convenience store customer is holding a North Carolina lottery ticket worth $1.136,065 and they may not realize it.

The Max W!n Fast Play ticket was sold Sunday, March 2, in Forsyth County, the N.C. Education Lottery said in a news release.

“The winner purchased the lucky ticket at Quality Mart on Yadkin Highway in Pfafftown,” lottery officials said. Pfafftown is about a 10-mile drive northwest from Winston-Salem.

“At the time of the purchase, the jackpot sat at $936,065. Since it was a $20 ticket, the winner receives 100% of the jackpot plus $200,000 cash.”

Odds of matching all the numbers on $20 Max W!n Fast Play tickets are 1 in 320,000, the game reports.

The winner has 180 days to claim their prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

“The win marks the second largest Fast Play win in history,” lottery officials said.

“The biggest Fast Play win still belongs to a player in Gaston County who won a $1,143,007 jackpot in May 2023 on a $10 Jackpot 777 ticket.”

Max W!n Fast Play has a progressive jackpot that starts at $20,000 and grows progressively until someone’s ticket matches the winning numbers. Tickets start at $2 to win a portion of the jackpot.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
