Four Powerball players won big prizes on a lucky night in North Carolina.

The players bought tickets that matched all but one number picked in the June 14 drawing, making them worth $50,000 each, the N.C. Education Lottery wrote on its website and X, formerly known as Twitter.

The winning numbers: white balls 4-6-9-23-59, with red Powerball 25.

The players got a big reason to celebrate after their $2 tickets matched four white balls and the red ball. Here’s where the winning tickets were sold:

  • to an online player in Raleigh
  • at 3 Way Food Mart in Hope Mills
  • at Wegmans in Wake Forest
  • at a Duck Thru in Windsor

Each of the players was one number from scoring the larger jackpot prize. No one hit the jackpot, which stood at an estimated $80 million the night of the drawing, according to the Powerball website. The next drawing is Monday, June 16.

Officials shared news of the $50,000 wins over the weekend, before the lucky ticket holders would have been able to cash in at one of the lottery’s claims centers. In North Carolina, Powerball winners have about six months to come forward, rules show.
