Two lucky lottery players win big jackpots in NC. Where were the tickets sold?

Two lottery players in North Carolina struck it lucky with big jackpot wins, officials announced over the weekend.

One person won a jackpot worth $336,635 from a Cash 5 ticket and another won a progressive jackpot worth $154,107 from a JURASSIC PARK Fast Play ticket, the North Carolina Education Lottery announced Aug. 3 and 4 in posts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Cash 5 ticket was sold Aug. 2 at a grocery store in Charlotte, lottery officials said. The winning numbers in that drawing were 4, 5, 6, 21 and 43, according to the game’s web page.

The odds of winning the Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 962,598, lottery officials said.

The estimated jackpot as of Aug. 4 is $110,000, according to the game’s web page.

The second jackpot-winning ticket over the weekend was sold Aug. 3 at a gas station in Jacksonville, according to the lottery.

The odds of winning the $5 JURASSIC PARK Fast Play jackpot are 1 in 320,000, lottery officials said.

The estimated jackpot as of Aug. 4 is more than $160,000, according to the game’s web page.

Both lucky winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize, lottery officials said.
