Hallmark wants extras for an upcoming film at the Biltmore Estate. How to apply

Hallmark is returning to Asheville’s Biltmore Estate to shoot a second holiday movie, a love story that transports viewers back to the Gilded Age (roughly 130 years ago) around the estate’s opening on Christmas Eve of 1895.

Production is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and will include scenes on the estate as well as in downtown Asheville at locations like the Fine Arts Theatre and Pack’s Tavern, WLOS reported.

The project reunites some of the creative team from “A Biltmore Christmas,” filmed in 2023. According to the Biltmore, only 300 of the 8,000 applicants – a record for any Hallmark movie – were hired as extras for the film. That’s less than 4% of hopefuls who were chosen for the show.

The movie is expected to premiere during Hallmark’s 2026 “Countdown to Christmas” programming event near the end of the year.

Here’s how to apply to be an extra in the film.
