Ex-NASCAR driver drops asking price (again) on Lake Norman estate, listing shows

A former NASCAR driver has dropped the asking price again on his and his wife’s Lake Norman estate, a property history on the home’s listing site shows.

Former NASCAR driver Regan Smith and his wife, Megan, have dropped the asking price again on their Lake Norman waterfront estate, down $1 million since they first put their home on the market in July 2024, according to a property history on the listing site.

Their 7,934-square-foot home is for sale for $6.5 million, according to the listing by Compass agent Boston Reid. Iredell County property tax records show the Smiths own the estate. Regan Smith is a current Fox NASCAR analyst.

The home and its 10.9 waterfront acres are in the Morrison Pointe North subdivision on Morrison Farm Road in Troutman.

Five-car garage with epoxy finish

The estate has a total assessed value of $1.77 million, county property tax records show.

The Smiths built the home after buying the land for $248,000 in 2013, according to county records.

Other features include spacious bedrooms, two “bonus” rooms and a gourmet kitchen. The primary suite includes custom California closets and a bathroom with heated floors, a freestanding soaking tub and an advanced push-button shower system.

The estate’s climate-controlled, five-car garage has epoxy floors and 2,124 square feet of unfinished space that can be customized, the listing shows.

The Smiths originally listed their home for $7.5 million in July 2024, for $7 million in November 2024 and $6.7 million in May 2025, according to the property history.
