Two people were killed in an overnight shooting at a Columbia apartment complex, police said Sunday.
The people killed were identified as Jahquan Peterson, 26, and Mary Carmichael, 23, according to a tweet from the Columbia Police Department.
Both Carmichael and Peterson were shot in the upper body, according to police.
The shooting happened Saturday night at 221 Skyland Drive, police said on Twitter. That’s off Greystone Boulevard and Interstate 126, near the Broad River.
Police tweeted that the two deaths appear “to be isolated.”
No arrests have been reported by police, and information about what prompted the shooting was unavailable.

It was the first of two deadly overnight shootings in Richland County. Just after 4:30 a.m., one person was killed and another injured in a shooting off Parklane Road near Two Notch Road.
