32-year-old likely mauled to death by dogs at home, South Carolina officials say

Dogs likely mauled a 32-year-old woman to death in South Carolina, officials say.

The woman, identified as Jacqueline Nicole Robinson, was found dead at a home on Tuesday morning, Laurens County officials told multiple news outlets.

After an autopsy, Deputy Coroner Patti Canupp said the woman’s “cause of death appeared to be mauling by dogs,” according to the Index-Journal.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office made the grim discovery in Gray Court, a town roughly 25 miles southeast of Greenville, WHNS reported. Several dogs that were found on the property were taken away, the TV station reported.

Toshianna Bennett, who lives in the area, told WSPA some of the dogs were friendly, while others would bark or growl.

“The dogs, they didn’t ever bother me or my kids or my aunt,” Bennett said, according to the TV station.

Officials as of Wednesday were still investigating, news outlets reported.
