Troopers trying to identify 2 victims of Johnston crash and fire
Two people died early Wednesday when a car they were in on Crantock Road, near N.C. 210 west of Smithfield, went off the road, rolled over, hit a tree and burned, the State Highway Patrol said.
Crash investigators were trying to identify the victims, Sgt. Michael Baker, a patrol spokesman said.
The crash happened about 1 a.m. in the 2800 block of the road, Baker said.
The people killed were the only ones in the car, troopers said.
