A man was killed in a hit-and-run in northeast Raleigh early Saturday morning, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

Raleigh police responded to a reported hit-and-run in the 3300 block of Buffaloe Road at 3:09 a.m. There, they found Detrick Arnold dead in the road. Arnold was 32.

According to RPD’s preliminary investigation, it is not clear if Arnold was crossing the road or otherwise standing in the roadway. A large SUV struck him and left the scene. While Arnold was down in the roadway, another car ran him over.

The investigation is ongoing.
