Photos: Fallen trees, power outages left in wake of Triangle storms

Major storms descended on the Triangle Tuesday, August 15, 2023, leaving downed limbs, power outages and a major accident on Interstate 40.
There were over 56,000 power outages in Wake, Orange, Durham and Johnston counties as of 8 a.m., with 52,000 of those in Durham County, according to the Duke Energy power map.
