Frost advisory affecting Eastern North Carolina Tuesday - temperatures to drop to 36

On Monday at 2:47 a.m. the NWS Wakefield VA released a frost advisory valid for Tuesday between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. The advisory is for Northampton, Hertford, Gates and Bertie counties.

The NWS informs, "Temperatures as low as 36 degrees will result in frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," comments the NWS. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
