Beach hazards statement in place for Eastern Currituck until Sunday evening

On Saturday at 3:51 p.m. a beach hazards statement was released by the NWS Wakefield VA in effect until Sunday at 8 p.m. for Eastern Currituck.

"Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water," describes the NWS. "Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions."

This statement is in effect until Sunday at 8 p.m.
