UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm warning for Hoke and Moore counties predicted to expire at 3:30 p.m.

The warning was issued for Hoke and Moore counties.

"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. for central North Carolina," states the NWS Raleigh NC.

The warning is in effect until 3:30 p.m.
