The warning was in place for Hoke and Scotland counties.

"The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire," states the NWS Raleigh NC.

The warning is in effect until 3:30 p.m.
