UPDATE: The flood advisory for Rowan County is forecast to expire at 5:45 p.m.

The advisory was in place for Rowan County.

"The Flood Advisory will expire at 5:45 p.m. this afternoon for a portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following area, Rowan. The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. However, some high water levels will continue until the previous heavy rainfall works through the waterways. Please continue to heed remaining road closures," states the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC.

The advisory is in effect until 5:45 p.m.
