Walter Powell: Tea party titans

Sometimes I wonder whether I am on the same planet as most people. I just don’t understand the Aug. 29 letter “Democrats, U.S. on wrong track.” The writer says that the Democrats have been in charge for the last eight years and the country is in worse shape now. I know that we have had a Democratic president for the last eight, but make no mistake about it. The Republicans (including all those tea party guys) are the ones who have been in charge. Check your facts.
