Janine Jannicelli: There’s the door

Kudos to the Santa Clara Police Officers Association for saying that if the 49ers don’t stop Colin Kaepernick and his antics, the police force may not work at the team’s facilities any longer. It’s about time someone stepped up to the plate and stood up for America instead of allowing this unpatriotic and disrespectful, overpaid athlete who feels he is above all acts of patriotism in this country to slap all Americans in the face. The only statement he is making (unfortunately successfully I might add) is that one can go against our country’s traditions and support of it and call his own shots, disrespect our country (and the military) and then get paid massive amounts of money for his athletic abilities.

Their team is lucky I’m not the owner. I would do all I could to remove him from the team permanently no matter how good of a player he is. If he is so unhappy with our country and can’t pay his respects when required, then maybe he needs to go to another country where he can be a proud resident.
