Bill Massey: Money, fame more important than change

When asked how they felt about Colin Kaepernick disrespecting the American flag, and America, and Americans, by refusing to stand for our national anthem, several of his teammates said, “We’re just focused on what we care about most: winning football games.”

Ah! There we have it: The overarching problem with our society today – recreation before respect. “I pledge allegiance to the Shield of the National Football League, and to the sport for which it stands. One game, under the dome, with celebrity and money for all.”
