Charlotte’s mayor and City Council eagerly passed an unnecessary and controversial ordinance to create a more welcoming atmosphere to the LGBTQ community. However, they repeatedly failed in their duty to provide constitutionally required equal protection under the law to the black community. Whose lives matter in Charlotte?
