Charles Malone: For my democracy
Donald Trump said in the debate that he is “smart” to pay no income taxes for at least two years. If so, what does it say about the rest of us? I have always felt paying taxes was the rent I owe to live in a democracy. Just let me pay my fair share. Love of country obliges us to pay no less.
