Assad Meymandi: Police, military shouldn’t endorse candidates

I find it distasteful, if not gauche, to see police officers involved in political ads promoting election of Gov. Pat McCrory and his opponent, aspirant gubernatorial candidate Roy Cooper. Also, seeing retired armed forces generals endorsing presidential candidates, although legal, remains inappropriate and problematic.
