Brian Cox: Athletic officials were all wet
Shame on John Swofford, Bubba Cunningham, Carol Folt, Eugene Washington, Kevin White, Randy Woodson and Debbie Yow for allowing football games to be played in Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh on Oct. 8.
It’s a beautiful day as I write this on the day after, and the games could easily have been played at each location. Yeah, I get it ... TV, travel, blah, blah. Baloney.
They are charged with having the best interests of the students, athletes and ticket holders. Did they put those interests first on Oct. 8?
And shame on me for being stupid enough to drive from Charlotte to Chapel Hill to sit in a hurricane.
