William Cornwell: TV money trumps bad weather at football games
In response to the Oct. 12 letter “Who made call to play football?”: Both the N.C. State game and the UNC game were scheduled for national TV.
The games were going to be played come ‘H’ or high water!
If either or both schools canceled their game they would have lost the “mega bucks” that a national TV telecast provides. They were played totally because of money each school received – no ifs, ands or buts.
