Robert T. Harris: McCrory’s bathroom gaffe

Regarding the Oct. 12 news article “Feisty debate reveals wide differences”: I can’t believe he said it. When the Oct. 11 gubernatorial debate moderator, Chuck Todd, asked Gov. Pat McCrory whether he would direct Caitlyn Jenner (the former Olympic champion, Bruce Jenner, now transgendered as a woman) to the women’s or men’s room in state public facilities, the governor said “the men’s room.” Really?

Caitlyn is a woman. So if the gov was in the same men’s room at the time Caitlyn came in, he’d be just fine with that? Hilarious! Oops, maybe the gov forgot to examine a copy of her birth certificate.

In his ridiculous answer, the gov displayed the complete idiocy of House Bill 2, which he vehemently supports, which has cost this state hundreds of millions, and which, most important, has cost our state our good reputation. Thanks Pat.
