Karen L. Shectman: Taxpayers paying for Trump’s campaign
Donald Trump is very proud that he has financed his own presidential campaign, about $100 million worth. Meanwhile, he hasn’t paid any federal taxes in 18 years. To my mind, this gives new meaning to the phrase “public campaign financing.” The money Trump didn’t pay in taxes has financed his campaign. We, the public, have paid for his campaign.
