Keith Houck: Burr’s bad judgment
Regarding the Oct. 14 news article “Burr, Ross spar over Trump’s behavior”: Richard Burr strongly reaffirmed his support of Donald Trump for president in his Senate debate with Deborah Ross.
Based on Trump’s own words and supported by his victims’ statements, Trump is a predator who delights in subjugating women and all others he considers inferior. Such a man would be extremely dangerous in the most powerful office on Earth.
Burr’s endorsement truly displayed a lack of good judgment.
Deborah Ross was clearly the candidate for Senate who presented both superior judgment together with knowledge of and compassion for the needs of North Carolinians. Her powerful debate performance provided optimism that sending the right people to Washington can make a positive difference in the direction of our country.
