Burke E. Holland: Trump a media-made candidate

Regarding the Oct. 19 editorial “Trump’s myth of ‘rigging’ ”: I fully agree with Donald Trump, the media has rigged this election. Indeed they have, but not in the way Trump is whining about.

Only a true genius in the media business set this in motion. Trump has received more media time before the camera than any other presidential candidate in the history of this nation. Way back when it was clear that Trump was serious about running for this powerful office, some brilliant person in the media world decided to put this narcissistic brain before a camera as much as possible, and he could not help but go for the bait like a catfish goes for chicken livers (learned that one from a wiz on the Chowan River), and he would implode – and it worked.

This was as genius as a billionaire who has learned how to keep from paying taxes. And Trump hasn’t figured it out yet. Yes, the media has rigged this election.
