Adams Wofford: Burr lacks decency

Following the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, I wrote to Sen. Richard Burr asking that he support increased gun regulation. He eventually sent me a two-page form letter saying that he had been for increased regulation before he was against it.

This week, Burr quipped about expecting to see Hillary Clinton’s picture in crosshairs. Ha-Ha. Just a little joke, and he apologized. Wink-Wink.

There are people who say that we live in an unheroic age. The teachers at Sandy Hook who interposed their bodies between children and a killer’s bullets were heroes.

The least we should expect from Richard Burr is a little decency.
