Elizabeth Gottfried: Not all women supported for Hillary

Regarding the Nov. 11 Sarah Nagem column “Women say it’s time to bridge the divide”: Just as one woman did not appreciate being told to get over the election result, I did not appreciate being told, among many other things, that because I’m a woman I must vote for (another) Clinton, that I belong in a basket of deplorables, that I should react strongly and angrily to the fact that a woman was not elected and that my suggested response should be “outrage.”

I’m shocked by the outcome, but not unhappily so, and I believe that now, finally, after eight years of amateurish and petulant so-called leadership, that some real change will happen.
