Dennis Welch: Will Trump’s rebellion last?

In the Nov. 20 Point of View “Trump, Clinton and a crisis of masculinity,” Fred Hobson speculated that red-blooded white males scorned Hillary Clinton as an apparently schoolmarm scold and embraced Donald Trump as a rebel against social decency redefined by the GOP as “political correctness.” But, if Trump’s mannish voters remembered well, they should have known they had little of their maleness to worry about were Clinton elected.

After all, her appeals for decency and respect had, for too long a time, little effect even on her own husband.

How long will Trump’s mannish voters remain rebelliously proud of their boy as president?
