Mark Rose: Trump’s win legitimizes KKK

I found your Nov 22 editorial “The Klan, gasping,” on a possible KKK march in North Carolina, utterly predictable. All through this election cycle, and even now, there have been numerous editorials and letters to the editor whose conclusions have been “we are better than this.”

If there is anything this election should have taught us is, no, we are not better than this. The KKK is alive and will prosper with its new found legitimacy, borne out of Donald Trump and, more importantly, his supporters. Close our eyes if we dare.
