Lee Downie: GOP voting paranoia

Regarding the Nov. 25 news article “Republicans: 43 ineligible felons voted in N.Carolina”: Republican paranoia strikes again, this time in Stokes County.

The poor man accused by Susan McBride of being ineligible to vote ought to sue her ears off for defamation of character, pain and suffering and attempted vote suppression.

Surely North Carolina has a lawyer or two who could cut McBride down to size and teach her a lesson and splash her name and picture on the front page of every paper in the state.

I’m not surprised McBride would refuse to take a phone call from The N&O: The foolish can’t handle it when their foolishness is exposed.
