Eric Ginsburg: Burr must call for investigation
Regarding the Dec. 12 news article “4 senators issue bipartisan statement seeking inquiry”: Sen. Richard Burr should stand with Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Charles Schumer and Jack Reed in calling for full investigations into the role of foreign governments in the 2016 presidential election.
As the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, he has both the opportunity and the obligation to call for investigations into allegations of foreign meddling. Free and fair elections are critical to public confidence in our system of government and must be preserved and protected from any real or perceived taint.
